DUONG LAM ANCIENT VILLAGE FULL DAY
Duong Lam village has a history of about 1200 years. Many
old houses are dated back to 400 years old. Two Vietnamese Kings Phung Hung (? –
800) and Ngo Quyen (896 – 944) bring the village it’s prestige. Duong Lam is
also famous for old building that become National Heritages such as old local
houses, village’s Communal house, Mia Temple, Phung Hung King’s temple, and Ngo
Quyen King’s temple.
8:00 AM pick up at your hotel. Transfer to Duong Lam village which is about 50 km from Hanoi city. Stop to visit village’s communal house, which is influenced by architecture under Le Dynasty in 17th century. Cycling trip around the village to visit Phung Hung and Ngo Nguyen Kings temples. Stop to visit Mia pagoda, then local market.
We have lunch at an ancient house. Enjoy authentic local food cooked by the host while listening the stories about family history. Go back Hanoi in the afternoon, stop at Son Dong Sculpture village, where people master the technique of making wooden statutes. Walking along Son Dong village lanes and visit Communal House. Get on our bus and back to Hanoi. Tour ends in Hanoi at around 5:00 PM.
