VIETNAM EMBROIDERY IN THE PAST AND TODAY.

Vietnam is popular for many traditional craft villages. There are around 2,000 villages along Vietnam still maintain the job handed down from their ancestors dated back to thousand years. Embroidery is one of those. It is said that the profession came first from Quat Dong village in Hanoi.

The embroidery originates from Quat Dong village in Hanoi since 15^th century, Dalat city, and Hue Imperial city. Today the embroidery companies and villages not only supply the products for domestic needs but also for export and international tourists who love folk arts of Vietnam.
