Day 1: Chiang Mai arrival (-/-/D)
Upon your arrival at Chiang Mai airport or
railway station, welcome to Chiang Mai by our EMH team, then transfer you to
the hotel.
In the morning at 7:00am, we will start our trip
from Chiang Mai (Thailand) to Tachileik (Myanmar)
with sightseeing stops on this golden triangle route. The highlights of this
trip are Mae Kajan Hot Spring, Long Neck Village, Golden
Triangle area, Chiang San (including a
visit to Wat Pa Sak) and Mai Sai area. In the
afternoon around 4:30pm, we will cross the border into Myanmar by passing
immigration gate with our Thai guide. Once arrive at Tachileik (the border town
of Myanmar’s side), we will meet up with our Burmese guide, who will welcome
you to the country. You will then bid your Thai guide farewell before transfer
you to the hotel. The rest of the evening is your own leisure time. Being a
border town you can expect to see a fascinating mixture of people, Burmese and
Thai population including all the Hill tribes of Northern Thailand/
Burma.
In the morning around 10:30am, you will be
transferred to the airport to take a flight to InLe Lake. The flight time is
approximately an hour. Upon arrival in Heho airport, you will be transferred to
the hotel in Nyaung Shwe (InLe Lake). On the way, you can enjoy a scenic an
hour drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to the magnificent InLe Lake. The rest
of the day is your own leisure day in InLe Lake. Suggestions for your free
time: Inle Lake has everything you could want – long bike rides in the
countryside, the perfect place to chill out or get active. Hire bicycles and
riding through the villages and winery gardens. You will pass by buffalo in the
water, farmers working in the fields, children playing and trucks full of young
monks. It's a beautiful place with lots to do.
Looking down over the lake from the Taunggyi
road, Inle lies in an enormous carpet of greenery. Dotted around the lake are
the stilt-house villages and floating gardens of the Intha tribe. The Intha
technique of leg rowing – where one leg is wrapped around the paddle to drive
the blade through the water in a snake-like motion – is unique. With our Inle
Lake Boat Trip Day tour, you will experience a unique way of life that has
lived on through generations, whilst exploring the culturally significant
surrounds that form part of this beautiful region of Myanmar. You
will be provided with a life jacket and easy seat for each person on the boat.
Inle lake sightseeing will be filled with visit to the: A visit to these sights
provides deep insight into how the people on the lake make their livings. So
you can enjoy Unique One Leg rower fisherman, Loctus and silk weaving, boat
making and cheroot making. After lunch proceed to Indein. And take a short trek
to Indein Pagoda. On the way, you can enjoy the serene atmosphere as you wander
through artfully scattered 8th century Pagodas in ruins covered by trees and
bushes. Then observe Intha tribes Village lives and enjoy the local market
along the shore. And then transfer to the hotel by boat.
Day 5: Inle Lake – Mandalay (B/-/D)
In the morning, you will have your own leisure
time in InLa Lake. In the afternoon, take a short flight (flight time is
approximately 30 minutes) to Mandalay. Once at Mandalay airport, you will be
transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is your own leisure in Mandalay.
Suggestion for your free time: Walking distance to a Night Market. This market
has become the modern Chinatown of Mandalay. They sell mostly fruits and
vegetables, but there are many street food stalls, that sell almost all types
of Chinese cuisine. To taste great Chinese food at unbeatable prices, you have
to come to this market. It is very lively and busy. In the opposite direction
is the Mandalay Fort and Moat. The walk around the fort is beautiful and a nice
way to see this part of Mandalay.
Day 6: Mandalay city tour (B/-/D)
After morning breakfast, visit to Amarapura. Sightseeing
to famous Maha Gan Da Yone Monastery. Proceed to
the1.2Km long U-Bein teak bridge which was
recuperated from the waste of abandoned Ava palace, Wood carving, Marble carving,
Bronze casting. Return to Madalay and visit to Mandalay Grand Royal Palace, is the last
Palace built by Burmese Royals. On the large complex are dozens of buildings
including audience halls, throne halls, a monastery, a watch tower, a court
building, a tooth relic building and a library where the Buddhist scriptures
were kept. Then visit to Maha Muni Bronze Buddha Image: - a spectacular Buddha image of Rakhine feature, Gold
leaf processing method, Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung:-(Golden Royal Palace Monastery) a traditional
teak architect handicraft design, Ku Tho Daw Pagoda: - known as the world' s biggest Buddhist scriptures
book, consisting of 729 marble slabs, Tapestries and Silk weaving of Mandalay. Then Sunset from Mandalay Hill.

Day 7: Mandalay – Bagan (B/-/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will board a
private minibus/car to drive to Bagan. Along the way, you can witness the true local
life of Myanmar. The driving time is around 4 hours. Upon your arrival, you
will have a short refreshment time at hotel before driving to a local
restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we will drive to the place to watch the time
consuming and intricate production of quality lacquer ware. Some of the finest
are flexible, and made around bamboo and twisted horse hair. Next, you’ll learn
about the making of Bagan’s most famous food, ‘Pone Yay Gyi’ at a local shop.
This black paste is made from soy beans and you’ll get to see how it’s made,
from the raw soy beans through to the finished product. Finally, visit Taung Bi
Village to look through some private homes and local businesses. While
not the home of any great monuments or temples, our walk through this peaceful
village really is a nice change of pace from the hectic pace of cities. And
then transfer to the jetty to spend the whole evening by enjoying sunset boat
ride along Ayarwaddy River.
Day 8: Bagan tour – Yangon (B/-/D)
At 9:00am in the morning, our tour guide will
take you around its wonderful scenery and architecture. Bagan is a truly
mesmerizing destination, and a favourite of many travellers. Renowned as the
city of four million pagodas, this is one of the richest archaeological sites
in Asia. Today there are more than 2,000 pagodas, temples and monasteries —
most built during the Bagan Dynasty, founded by King Anawrahta in 1044.
Firstly, we’ll go to lively Nyaung U Market where provides great photo
opportunity, and also the chance for tourists to mingle with the local Myanmar
people, and watch how they conduct their daily lives. Next, we will start
sightseeing as below: In the evening, you will take a flight to Yangon. Upon
arrival in Yangon airport, you will be transferred to the hotel.
Day 9: Yangon city tour (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive to Kalaywa Tawya Monastery, then you have a
chance to study about a monastery with high reputation consists of between 500
to 1000 young novices can be seen at the same time while they have their 2nd or
the last meal of the day. It is very well-worth seeing. Proceed to Swe Daw Myat Zedi (the pagoda
relic replica of the tooth of Buddha) Pagoda, KabaAye (or World
Peace Pagoda), Kyauktawgyi Pagoda also known as Lawka Chanthar Arbayar Laba Muni
Buddha Image at Minn Dhamma Hill, there is an Elephant house where the two
white elephants are kept. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
Day 10: Departure (B/-/-)
Breakfast and free time until time to go to the
airport for departure flight. Then, transfer you to the Yangon International
Airport, three hours prior according to your flight departure time.
