PANORAMA INDOCHINA
(21 Days – 20 Nights)
During period of 21 days we bring you to visit the best highlights of Vietnam – Laos – and Cambodia. Based on this tour concept building you can start the tour in Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia. The city and places we will visit are Hanoi – Halong Bay - Duong Lam village - Sapa – Ninh Binh – Hue – Hoian – Danang – Saigon – Mekong Delta – Cu Chi tunnels – Vientiane – Luang Prabang – Siem Reap.
Day 1: Vientiane arrival (-/-/D)
Upon arrival pick up and transfer to hotel. Free at leisure before dinner at local restaurant.
Day 2: Vientiane visit (B/-/D)
Full day city tour with the visit to the oldest Wat Sisaket, former royal temple of Wat PraKeo. Continue to visit the famous and sacred structure of That Luang stupa. Stop to take photo of the imposing Patuxai. Shopping at local named Morning market then enjoy sunset by Mekong riverside. Have dinner and overnight in Vientian.
Day 3: Vientiane – Luang Prabang (B/-/D)
Morning check-out hotel and move to airport for the flight to Luang Prabang. Pick up and start city tour to visit stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Go up to Phousi Mountain for sunset view on Mekong river. Visit night market to shop Laos souvenirs. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 4: Luang Prabang and surrounding (B/-/D)
Wake up in early morning to witness Almsgiving ceremony when thousands of monks receive offerings. Breakfast in hotel then explore Luang Prabang by visit to Phosi Market, Khuangsi waterfall, stop at ethnic villages of Ban Na Oun, Ban Ou , and Ban Thapene. On the way back to Luang Prabang we visit at the weaving village of Ban Phanom. Dinner in the city.
Day 5: Luang Prabang visit - Hanoi (B/-/D)
Check-out after breakfast, have boat trip along Mekong river to Pak Ou cave, along the way stop at Ban Kanghai village and have opportunity to taste local rice wine there. Back to Luang Prabang and short visit to Ban Xang Khong. Head to airport for flight to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Upon arrival transfer to hotel for check-in then welcome dinner in an authentic Vietnamese restaurant.
Day 6: Hanoi – Lao Cai (B/-/D)
Full day city tour to explore highlights of green city with French colonial buildings and bustling Old quarter. Visit Ho Chi Minh complex including Ba Dinh square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his Residence. Stop for photo at One Pillar Pagoda before move to Temple of Literature or the Former First University of Vietnam built in 1070 under Ly Dynasty. Lunch by your choice at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit Tran Quoc Pagoda situated by West Lake bank, Museum of Ethnology where you get fantastic info of 54 minorities in Vietnam. One hour rickshaw ride before dinner then go to Hanoi railway station for night train to Lao Cai.
Day 7: Lao Cai – Sapa visit (B/-/D)
Early arrive at Lao Cai station. Pick up by local driver then we move to Sapa (one hour drive) for breakfast at hotel. At 9:00 AM we start our trip to Lao Chai and Ta Van valley – one of the best beautiful valley in Vietnam – to visit community of Black H’mong and Dzay people. Lunch at local restaurant in Ta Van village or Sapa.
Afternoon we do another trekking around lovely Cat Cat village, home to Black H’mong group, where scenery is dotted by wooden traditional house and terrace rice field as well as Cat Cat waterfall. Dinner at an authentic Sapa restaurant.
Day 8: Sapa visit – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B/-/D)
Free at leisure. You can choose your walk to Ham Rong mountain for taking photo of flower garden and viewing the whole Sapa town. Relax at some coffee shops by Sapa lake, or visit local market. Afternoon we go to Lao Cai rail station. Stop to visit Vietnam – China border by upper section of the Red River. Dinner at Lao Cai before boarding on night train back to Hanoi.
Day 9: Hanoi – Duong Lam village – Halong (B/-/D)
After breakfast, check-out then we depart for Duong Lam ancient village where is about 50 km from Hanoi. Walking around the village through old brick lanes to visit Mia pagoda, Duong Lam communal house, and local market. Lunch in an Old house and listen to family’s story. Head to Halong Bay. Arrive Halong city in the late afternoon, dinner before check-in hotel. Relax and stroll around to see night market there.
Day 10: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/-/D)
Wake up in early morning, 5:30 AM, check-out at 6:30 AM then go depart for Halong harbor for boarding on boat and start 6-hour cruise to explore Halong Bay, the world heritage site of Nature. Breakfast on boat with coffee and tea while cruising through hundreds of limestone rocks in fantastic formation. Stop at a fishing village for kayaking tour to Luon cave, Bonau Cave, then move to Titop beach. You can swim at the beach or climb up Titop mount for taking panoramic view of Halong Bay. If the time permitted we go to explore Sung Sot cave. After that we have lunch on the way back to Halong harbor. Pick up by driver, go back to Hanoi city. Arrive Hanoi at around 6:00 PM. Dinner in Hanoi.
Day 11: Hanoi – Van Long and cycling tour –
Hanoi (B/-/D)
Morning depart for Van Long Nature conservation area in Ninh Binh province, 100 km from Hanoi. Upon arrival, take cycling tour around scenic countryside and villages in the Red River Delta. Stop to visit village’s pagoda. Join cooking class and have lunch in a local family. Afternoon have boat ride of 1.5 hours in Van Long Nature Conservation area. Farmers help us rowing bamboo boat and bring us to some caves there. The beautiful scenery of Van Long dotted by limestone rocks, lakes, caves, and flock of white flamingo. Drive back to Hanoi in the mid afternoon.
Day 12: Hanoi – Hue (B/-/D)
Take morning flight to Hue, former capital of Vietnam during 1802 – 1945. Welcome by our guide and transfer to city Heritages. After lunch Visit Tu Duc Emperor tomb, Royal Citadel. Check –in hotel. Have dinner and enjoy royal music on boat cruising along poetic Perfume river. Overnight in Hue.
Day 13: Hue – Danang – Hoian (B/-/D)
After breakfast we leave for Hoian ancient town, 140 km from Hue city. On the way stop at Lang Co white soft sand beach, drive up to Hai Van Pass – mountain pass covered by clouds- for taking photo of panoramic East Sea. Drive pass Danang, the third largest city in Vietnam, where is well-known for beach travel. Arrive ancient town of Hoian at noon. Have lunch at a local restaurant that overlooks to Thu Bon river. Afternoon visit highlights of Hoian; Japanese Bridge – Tan Ky Old house – Phuc Kien Merchant temple – House of Family Tran – Hoian market. Dinner at Secret Garden restaurant.
Day 14: Hoian – Danang – Saigon (B/-/D)
Check-out hotel in morning. Drive to Danang airport for flight to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh city). On the way stop at Cham Museum, where you will explore lots of cultural aspects of Chapa people. Arrive Saigon visit to Thien Hau pagoda, Cho Lon market or China town. Check-in hotel and have dinner.
Day 15: Saigon – Cu Chi tunnels (B/-/D)
After breakfast, take 2 hour drive to Cu Chi tunnels, the former base of guerrillas who resisted against French and American troops during 1948 – 1975. The complex of tunnels used to be at 250 km long underground and consists of 3 levels with the depth of 3 – 12 m. Guerrillas lived and work in the tunnels.
Go back to Saigon. Afternoon visit to Notre Dam Cathedral, Post Office, Opera House, War Museum, and Unification Palace that was used by former President of Republic Vietnam.
Day 16: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Can Tho (B/-/D)
In the morning 7:30 depart for Mekong Delta. Visit Cai Be floating market, then head to Vinh Long, where we stop to witness diverse fish traps in order of learning a kind of lazy fishing. Rowing through shady canals, step ashore to enjoy traditional music, taste tropical fruits, lunch at local house in bonsai garden. Afternoon visit ceramic and brick kilns. Continue to Can Tho. Upon arrival visit local market and stroll around the city center. Chec-in hotel in Can Tho city.
Day 17: Can Tho – Saigon (B/-/D)
Start from Ninh Kieu quay we go exploring Cai Rang colorful and lively floating market in morning. The locals travel by their own boat to bring here home made products as well as tens of fruits and flowers in Southern Vietnam. Head back to Saigon. Check in hotel before our dinner.
Day 18: Saigon – Siem Reap (B/-/D)
Take morning flight to Siem Reap, the world heritage city of Cambodia. Transfer to hotel for checkin.
Afternoon we visit to Ta Prohm temple, where you are amazed by enormous fig tree and gigantic creepers moving around stone and temple structure. Dinner with program of Apsara Dance show in Siem Reap.
Day 19: Siem Reap and surrounding (B/-/D)
Full day exploring Angkor with the visit of Angkor Thom, which is famous for series of colossal human faces carved on stone, the impressive Bayon temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. The architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covered an area of about 210 hectares.
Afternoon have Tuk Tuk ride around city, visit floating village of Choueng Kneas, where you can find school restaurants, hospital…and the floated forest on Tonle Sap lake. Dinner and overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 20: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (B/-/D)
After breakfast transfer to airport and leave for Phnom Penh capital city of Cambodia. Pick up and move to the city for a visit to Toulsleng Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Killing field of Choueng EK. Relax on cruise on Chaktomuk river for one hour. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 21: Phnom Penh Departure (B/-/-)
Free until transfer to airport for your flight home. End of services.
