Thu Thiem ferry terminal on Wednesday was transformed into an inland wharf since it stopped operation early last month.
The wharf will offer berths used for ships to carry passengers and goods. Ferries formerly operating at Thu Thiem ferry station will be used for tourism purposes, said Nguyen Duc Chinh, director of Ferry Management Co., Ltd
Thu Thiem ferry terminal will work as a sight-seeing place, a wharf and souvenir shops for tourists.
Previously, Thu Thiem ferry terminal stopped its 100-year-operation on January 1 after the launch of Thu Thiem Tunnel.
