Lotus flower is considered as National flower in Vietnam.
The origin of the flower dated back to 100 million years ago. Lotus flower is
widely planted and grown along Vietnam.
The flower is used in worshiping ceremonies, inter
decoration… Seeds are used to prepare for medicine and food such as sweetness,
soups. Flower is used to make scented tea, and lotus leaves are use to make a
kind of herbal tea and wrap food.
Lotus flower is classified as one of “four gentlemen”
flowers along with pine, bamboo, and chrysanthemum. It is also the symbol of
summer while others stand for winter, autumn, and spring.
The lotus flower becomes National flower not only of it’s
