South Central Highland is the region with temperate climate all year round, home to ethnic groups of Mnong, Ede, Gia Rai, Co Ho, Chu Ru, Ba Na, and X’ Tieng…speaking Austroasiatic languages. South Central Highland Vietnam is attractive by lots of waterfall, traditional long houses, coffee and tea plantations, pine forest, elephant ride, flowers, lakes, and French colonial buildings in Dalat city.

Day 1: Dalat city – Lak Lake (B/L/D)

Check out hotel in Dalat in morning. Our guide and driver help you explore Dalat surrounding on the way to Lak Lake. Visit Elephant water fall, cricket farm  and taste fried crickets, try rice wine, coffee. Continue visit vegetable and flower farms, tea and coffee plantations, Linh An pagoda. Arrive Lak lake, trek through M’nong ethnic village. Homestay in traditional long house at Jun village.

 

Day 2: Lak lake – Buon Ma Thuot city (B/L/D)

Have breakfast and check-out homestay. Have elephant ride and taking photo of farming or fishing activities around Lak lake in the morning. Visit one of summer palaces for the last Emperor of Vietnam, Bao Dai. Drive to Buon Me Thuot. Lunch there with central highland specialty. You can swim at Dray Sap waterfall, one of the best impressive waterfalls in Vietnam. Stay overnight at Buon Me Thuot in Bungalow by Virgin Waterfall.

 

Day 3: Buon Me Thuot – Pleiku (B/L/D)

Morning visit to Museum Ethnic Minority in the former residence for French Consul built in 1927. You will see hundreds of collections from ethnic groups of E De, M’nong, and Ba Na… Drive to Pleiku through pepper and rubber plantations, former battle fields, Sea Lake. Stay in Pleiku city.

 

Day 4: Pleiku – Kon Tum city (B/L/D)

After breakfast, depart for Kon Tum. Arrive Kon Tum and see hundred year old wooden Church, Bishop’s house, Orphanage, a Ba Na ethnic village and traditional Rong house, steel Suspension bridge, and Kon Tum prison. Lunch at a local restaurant that is closed to Cambodian border. Stroll around city by night.

 

Day 5 : Kon Tum – Hoian ancient town (B/L/-)

Check our hotel and start our journey of about 280 km to Hoian. Drive through former Ho Chi Minh trail named during Vietnam war 1954 – 1975. Visit Dakto battle field, Charlie hill, water fall, rice paddy field, and Cham’s ancient brick tower. Lunch then continue to Hoian. Arrive Hoian town at around 16h30. Tour end in Hoian.
