Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Mai Chau – Halong

Your Vietnam  travel experience is enriched by visiting distinct cultural places during one week in the North Vietnam. Tour starts from Hanoi, 1000 years old, then continues to Mai Chau Valey, home to Ethnic white Thai people,  called the Gate way to North West mountain area. Visist Tam Coc in Ninh Binh, Halong Bay inside the Red River Delta. You will be rewarded by having relax cruise in Halong Bay, New 7 Wonders.

Day 1: Hanoi
Arrive Hanoi , meet and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, we will tour around the Old Quarter by rickshaw (one-hour) and then join water puppet show. (-/-/-)

Day 2: Hanoi
Take full day city tour of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh complex, One Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, and Temple of Literature. Afternoon tour with visiting to Museum of Ethnology and Hoan Kiem Lake. (B/L/-)

Day 3: Hanoi - Ninh Binh

Drive to Kenh Ga, a secluded floating village in Ninh Binh with a dramatic landscape of limestone cliffs and caves. Travel serenely through the village by motorboat and rowing boat witnessing scenes of fishermen, children going to school and everyday life along the riverfront. Take a brief walk through rice fields to Van Trinh Cave. Afternoon proceed to Ninh Binh city, stopping en route at Hoa Lu to visit temples dedicated to two Vietnamese Kings who ruled Vietnam in 10 AD.(B/L/-)

Day 4: Ninh Binh - Mai Chau

MAI CHAU, 146 km from Hanoi, is a beautiful district lied in a green valley of paddy fields. Most people here are ethnic White Thai, who live in the house on stilts. Houses are surrounded by fishpond and green garden. When you visit a Thai family, the host will invite you to drink green tea and then home made wine. People greet you with big smiles. If you like more adventure, follow the trails leading to remote villages. Women will show you their great skill at farming, cooking and dancing. Home-stay in Mai Chau is a nice experience.(B/L/D)

At 8:00, leave for Mai Chau via Hoa Binh town. Take photos on the scenic driving. Reach Mai Chau at around noon. Have lunch in Lac Village prepared by your host. Short walk around the Thai village in the afternoon. Dinner with Folk dance and sleep on stilt house.

Day 5: Mai Chau - Hanoi
After breakfast, take a short walk through rice field to the local market then drive back to Hanoi with lunch-stop at Hoa Binh town. Go to the massive dam of Hoa Binh to take photo before heading back to Hanoi. (B/L/-)

Day 6: Hanoi - Halong Bay

We will depart Hanoi at 08:30 AM for Ha Long City. On the way we will stop for refreshments and take pictures of the Red River Delta. On arrival get on our junk for a cruise round in the crystalline emerald waters of Halong Bay, a stunning World Heritage Site. While staying on boat we will be served with sumptuous fresh seafood. We will also have the chance to explore some of the limestone caves, grottos and swim at soft sand beaches. Overnight on boat.(B/L/D)

Day 7: Ha Long - Ha Noi

At 7:30, enjoy breakfast on the boat then use bamboo boat to explore Luon grotto. Cruise around the magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay. Have early lunch on board and get back the harbor at 12:00. Transfer back to Hanoi. End of services. (B, L)
